This Custodian 2 ensures the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of university campus buildings and is located at the Student Union. Minimum Qualifications Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways, and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing. Empties and decontaminates trash containers. Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures. Mixes or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks. Strips, cleans, and polishes floors using industrial-grade machines. Follows procedures for disposing of infectious waste. Maintains custodial equipment; reports needs for minor building and/or equipment repairs to a higher-level custodian. Sets up tables, chairs, and other furniture for special meetings, banquets, or other occasions as assigned. Washes blinds, windows, and walls with prescribed solutions. Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
