Up to 34 hours per week. Rotating weekends (6:30 A.M.-12:30 PM) on average

Fridays:

Work only when special events occur or maintenance demands such time Responsible for the appearance, cleanliness, maintenance, security and minor repairs of large church buildings and grounds.

Examples of Work:

Maintain floors (sweep, mop, strip, wax/buff), dust furniture, clean equipment, clean windows/walls, vacuum carpet). Clean all classrooms, choir room, and hallways. Clean multiple restrooms, dispose garbage, regulate ventilation and temperature in buildings; prepare and clean baptistery; set up/move chairs and tables; open and secure buildings; make minor repairs on building and equipment when needed; Assist with setting up and cleaning areas related to funerals and weddings; Change light bulbs and A/C filters along with any other assigned tasks. This is a Christian Church working environment. A recommendation or reference from a local church leader will be requested. Current experience working in a church or participating in church-related activities is a plus.

Minimum Requirements :

Experience in working and current affiliation with a local church Possess the physical ability to perform responsibilities with or without accommodations; possess knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in a full range of custodial work; have ability to follow directions and take responsibility for tasks; be organized and self disciplined; be flexible and tolerant of interruptions; climb tall ladders; lift up to 50 lbs.; build and maintain positive working relationship with co-workers, volunteers, and the congregation, using principles of good customer service.
