Janitor

Pay Rate is $18.00 Full time, 30 - 40 hours weekly

General Function:

Maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and orderly condition of the facility.

Job Duties :

Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, cafeteria, offices, common areas, machines, overhead piping, conveyors, and floors using brushes, air hoses, mops, rags, steam cleaners, or powered floor cleaning equipment Maintains work areas on the plant floor or office areas in clean and orderly condition by keeping boxes, material, and stock organized. Picks up scrap, clutter, trash, and transports to appropriate waste area using powered industrial truck or hand-trucks Maintenance of exterior plant grounds may be required, including cutting grass, trimming edges of walkways, fertilizing, planting shrubs and flowers, and trimming trees and hedges Disposes of plant trash, clutter, refuse, chemicals, and other materials in an environmentally responsible manner All other duties or projects as assigned by management

Working Conditions:

Standing 8 hours, capable of lifting from 10lbs - 40 lbs consistently to include; pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching.

Education/Experience :

High School Degree or GED Other Requirements :

Ability to rotate, fill-in, or assist in other jobs as needed Able to utilize hand and power tools such as mops, brooms, lawnmowers, weed trimmers, power sprayers, and vacuum cleaners. May be required to operate forklift and pallet jacks. Knowledge of Hazard Communication Program, in particular, the Blood Borne Pathogens program about the proper use and protective equipment needed on the use of cleaners, solvents, sprays, and possible infectious materials May be required to possess a valid driver's license and forklift certification.
