Custodian/Janitorial Worker

Job Summary Overview We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented janitors to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in a Solar Plant facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks effectively. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans, vacuuming, etc. in all common areas Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies; sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces Maintain cleaning inventory and ordering new supplies when needed Disinfect all commonly used areas such as door handles, phones, desk and office equipment Clean walls, doors and maintain shower area Clean and maintain cafeteria area Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and stripping as needed to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Operate floor scrubbers and sweepers to keep production floor clean Carry out other custodial duties as assigned such as removing trash from facility Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain consistency in service quality Participate in facilities maintenance activities to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively Skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean effectively and efficiently. Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work is preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Familiarity with floor care methods including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Ability to perform light maintenance tasks Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills to interact positively with staff and visitors.
