Saturday and Sunday from 6:30am to 3:30pm Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Custodian to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, with skills in commercial cleaning, floor care, and facilities maintenance. As the Head Custodian, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of custodial staff to ensure efficient operations. Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various surfaces. Manage floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain appearance and safety. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good working condition. Provide training and guidance to custodial staff on best practices for cleaning techniques and safety protocols. Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal of the facilities. Collaborate with other departments to support special events or additional cleaning requirements. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, with a strong understanding of cleaning methods and equipment. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is preferred. Experience in floor care maintenance including buffing, waxing, and carpet care is highly desirable. Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management.
