In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various facilities. Your efforts will ensure that all spaces meet high standards of cleanliness and safety, supporting the well-being of staff and visitors alike. This position offers an energetic work atmosphere where your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will make a meaningful impact every day. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning solutions, floor buffers, and other custodial equipment to maintain floors and surfaces. Conduct industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance activities such as window washing, restroom sanitation, and floor care including buffing and polishing. Operate manual handling equipment for heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injuries. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other designated spaces with precision and efficiency. Assist with light maintenance duties such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to appropriate personnel. Follow safety protocols diligently when handling cleaning chemicals or operating machinery like floor buffers or industrial vacuums. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning environments is a plus. Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of proper cleaning procedures across different settings. Hands-on experience with floor buffing machines and performing detailed floor care tasks. Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles demonstrating manual handling skills and attention to safety practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during cleaning routines. Previous work involving residential painting or general maintenance is advantageous but not required.
