This position will provide the opportunity to contribute to student success by maintaining a clean and safe campus that promotes learning and living for a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff. Full-time, 12 Month, This is an AFSCME unit position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement. Tuesday to Saturday 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.DAYS OFF

Salary:
\$1,706.74 bi-weekly (Grade 10- Step 1)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a welcoming environment for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Perform detailed custodial maintenance of academic, residential, administrative, research, athletic, dining, and campus facilities.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and showers.
- Sweep walkways, vacuum, shampoo carpets, scrub, wax, and buff floors.
- Polish furniture and woodwork.
- Move and reset furniture in residential and academic buildings.
- Remove trash, including broken furniture and materials.
- Conduct indoor/outdoor maintenance tasks, including snow removal.
- Participate in large-scale cleaning and maintenance projects.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support university operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Commitment to customer service excellence, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Passion for social justice, racial justice, and civic engagement.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn proper cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
- Physical stamina, ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and shovel snow.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with students, faculty, and staff.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
- Current and valid Drivers License.
