Senior Custodian Position - Hancock It is requested that the following information be brought to the attention of all senior custodians in the Brockton Public Schools. The School Department is advertising the position of Senior Custodian.Qualifications:
1.Minimum of 3 years of service in the facilities department 2.Ability to work constructively and interact professionally with others 3.Strong organizational and leadership skills 4.Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities 5.Proficient knowledge of using a computer and familiar with the current work order system 6.Ability to schedule overtime shifts and maintain accurate records 7.Ability to coordinate and respond to emergencies and work effectively in stressful situations 8.Knowledge of best practices for safety and security Duties and responsibilities: (Including but not limited to) 1.Able to operate and train others on all mechanical equipment used for custodial work 2.Ensure assigned area and areas assigned to staff are clean and well maintained including the outside grounds 3.Maintain a clean and orderly custodian office, maintenance closets and all other storage areas used by the facilities department 4.Maintain all relevant paperwork distributed by the facilities department and by the school administration 5.Open the building and ensure that every area of the school including the outside is ready and safe for school each day 6.Must be able to determine when professional maintenance assistance is needed in regard to heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, etc. 7.Must be proficient in all matters of maintaining of safety and security involving the facilities department and able to participate with the school administration in all lock down and stay in place drills 8.Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Facilities and his/her designeeCompensation:
