Female Custodian

The Greater Lowell YMCA is seeking a female custodian for shifts Monday - Friday from 11am-3pm or 12pm - 4 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, including mopping, dusting, and trash removal. They may also be required to complete duties related to window washing, room set-ups and breakdowns, pool cleaning, and other related responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure the facility is attractive and clean, by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintaining upkeep of assigned areas and equipment. Cleaning of locker rooms, restrooms/showers, sauna, steam room. Replace soap, paper towels and other supplies. Cleaning of office and common areas including dusting, sweeping, dry mopping and vacuuming. Records and report all needed repairs. Follow standards of Department of Health, Department of Buildings, and Local Fire Department. Follow YMCA housekeeping policies and procedures. Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings, and special events. Assume all other responsibilities as deemed necessary or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of six months experience. Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment, along with basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment. Excellent hospitality skills.
