Job Description

  • The Service Associate II provides services as part of the patient care team.
  • Perform heavier cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
  • Dust and wet mop floors.
  • Scrub or buff floors with appropriate equipment.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets for cleaning and bacteria control with industrial vacuum.
  • Strip and refinish hard surface floors.
  • Transport waste from utility rooms and other collection points and dispose of waste by sterilization and/or placement in holding area.
  • Terminal clean induction units, light fixtures and windows.
  • Terminal clean OR, Invasive and Special Procedure rooms as needed.
  • Assumes Supervisory responsibility in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Assist in cleaning of emergency spills wen observed or upon request.
  • Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommends repairs as needed.
  • Observe and report the general need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
  • In case of fire or other internal disaster, assist in evacuating ambulatory patients and residents to exits.
  • In case of community disaster, assists nursing in making up extra beds and other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all other tasks which may be assigned.
  • Primary responsibilities will also include all aspects of a Service Associate I.
Job Description:
Essential Role Responsibilities including but not limited to: Perform heavier cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. Adheres to the Seven Steps of Cleaning, cleans all common areas bathrooms, and other areas as needed. Ensures cleanliness and neat appearance of assigned areas in allotted time frame adhering to established standards. Maintains and replenishes all soap, towel, and tissue dispensers. Complies with Hazcom Program, trash and soiled linen removed and placed in proper container, baskets cleaned and lined with fresh liners. Follows proper procedures for disinfecting of isolation/precaution areas with no deviation of procedures. Follows guidelines for proper use of chemicals and equipment. ESD supply/storage closet/Housekeeping cart kept cleaned and supplied in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, write and understand English or in process. Certification/License n/a
Pay Range:
$17.85 - $24.02 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
