Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for a janitor to be based out of the New Bedford, MA, Duchaine Facility. Reporting to the Value Stream Leader. The assembler will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
What you will do:
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility environment. This role supports daily operations by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance duties throughout offices, production areas, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly Clean windows, walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and sanitation materials Maintain cleanliness of offices, hallways, and production/work areas Follow safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to leadership Support facility cleanliness during audits, inspections, or special projects Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums What you will bring: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments Frequent pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements required Join our team and align yourself with an industry leader! As of the date of this posting, a good-faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $19.05/hr. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs, and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but is not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
