Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure our facilities remain spotless, safe, and well-maintained, supporting a productive work environment for all staff. Your energetic approach and commitment to cleanliness will help uphold the high standards of our biotech workplace. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks across office spaces, laboratories, and common areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors using appropriate floor care equipment such as buffers and scrubbers. Clean restrooms, break rooms, and kitchen areas thoroughly, ensuring supplies are stocked and sanitation protocols are followed. Handle industrial cleaning duties including waste disposal, window washing, and specialized custodial tasks as needed. Assist with light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs to facilities management. Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of equipment. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and sanitation practices. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus. Ability to operate cleaning machinery like buffers or floor scrubbers safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols.
