Full Job Description Head Custodian Nash Elementary School Hours:
Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm Weymouth Public Schools is a dynamic and inclusive learning community dedicated to "Educational Excellence for Every Weymouth Student." General Duties:
Supervisor of heating plant, building grounds, and junior custodians Operate the heating plant including auxiliary equipment and controls Work includes general cleaning of buildings and furnishings such as sweeping, washing, waxing and stripping floors, cleaning toilets, washing walls, disposal of rubbish, cleaning windows and light fixtures, checking doors and windows, dusting anything that needs cleaning Supervise care of outside grounds, mowing and raking grass, weeding, sweeping roads and sidewalks, shoveling snow and sanding the areas, policing grounds. Order and store custodian's supplies weekly and yearly Under the direction of the Principal, determine necessary building repair and upkeep and either make necessary repairs or see that prompt and proper requests for repairs are made. Make any necessary emergency repairs to protect children and school property Oversee requirements of inspection departments are carried out and that conditions in the building conform at all times to their requirements Perform related work as required by the
Superintendent, Supervisor or Principal Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is required to regularly interact with the students, staff and the public. May be required to work in the following environmental conditions: dusty, cold, hot, indoor and outdoor. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
