- Baltimore, MD 21205 Apply Overview Salary Range $18.50
- $18.50 Hourly Position Type Full Time
- 40 Plus Benefits Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma Obtained Travel Percentage Up to 25% Category Residential and Transitional Services Apply Description The Custodian is responsible for the sanitation and overall cleanliness of program property, facility ad grounds.
REQUIREMENTS
a high school diploma or equivalent diploma/GED, and at least one year experience in the provision of custodial services The position requires adequate and efficient housekeeping functions, assures cleanliness of all areas including, but not limited to, the facility offices, group rooms, conference rooms, dining rooms, and control centers.OTHER :
Fingerprint based Criminal Background check by FBOP; Must be received FBOP clearancePRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES
Maintain cleanliness of the facility and surrounding grounds. Stock and re-stock unit supplies. Empty trash and recycle receptacles. Sweep, wash, strip, and wax floors as needed. Disposal of litter and debris from grounds. Conduct safety and inspections of building and grounds. Supervise and monitor residents cleaning activities. Inventory, order cleaning/housekeeping supplies, and equipment as needed. Respond to emergency sanitation matters and/or incidents. Drive company vehicle on business and/or transport clients as required. Maintain working knowledge of VOAC policies and operational procedures, relevant federal, state, and local guidelines. Represent program to vendors, community and the general public professionally and appropriately.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. The ability to safely operate a motor vehicle to transport oneself, consumers, and program supplies as necessary. The physical ability to travel to assigned locations, stand, stoop, bend, reach, pull, push, lift, grasp, climb, talk, see, hear and perform basic and light home maintenance activities, and operate office equipment. Move and lift light objects up to 30 pounds such as mail, supplies, files, and equipment. Operating office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive hand/arm movements. The ability to remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time. Occasionally, ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.EFFECT ON END RESULTS
To assist in ensuring the building is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner at all times. To assist in ensuring compliance with all contractual and licensure obligations. To assist in ensuring facility grounds are clean, safe, and secure.OTHER DUTIES
