Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role ensures that all areas are kept in pristine condition, promoting health, safety, and comfort for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks to support our operational excellence. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain optimal appearance and safety standards. Handle industrial cleaning tasks that may include the use of specialized machinery or chemicals for heavy-duty sanitation. Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold a professional environment. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate teams. Support custodial operations by restocking supplies like paper products, soap dispensers, and trash bags. Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free workspace for everyone. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or industrial vacuums safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use is preferred.
