Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Floor Care Lead is responsible for supervising and performing floor maintenance services across multiple contracted sites. This role ensures high-quality floor care standards are met while supporting and guiding a floor care team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with floor care techniques and equipment, demonstrate leadership, and maintain a proactive, team-oriented approach.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead and support a team of floor care staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to quality standards. Clean and maintain floors using appropriate techniques, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing. Operate and train others on the use of floor cleaning machines such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums. Organize weekly assignments, site rotations, and ensure equipment and supplies are prepared. Conduct walkthroughs and report progress or concerns to the Supervisor/ Upper management. Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and regulations. Monitor inventory of floor care supplies and request resupply when needed. Communicate effectively with team members and site contacts to coordinate work with minimal disruption. Assist with onboarding and hands-on training of new floor care staff. Serve as a working lead, actively participating in all floor care tasks. Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of equipment and supply storage areas. Maintain logs and documentation as required for work completed or safety compliance. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 1.
Must have a valid driver's license, pass background check, and drug test. 2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in floor care (strip/wax, carpet cleaning, buffing). 3. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. 4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and/or equipment. 5. Familiarity with OSHA regulations including Hazard Communication and Blood Borne Pathogens. 6. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
