Job Description The City of Havre de Grace is seeking candidates to fill a vacant Full Time Custodian position. This position reports directly to a Crew Leader and performs a variety of housekeeping functions in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment throughout City buildings and public restrooms.
Minimum qualifications are as follows:
High school diploma or a GED preferred Any combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to perform duties In addition, the applicant must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to follow oral and written instructions and ability to operate cleaning equipment to include floor buffer Ability to frequently stand, stoop, and bend
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Sweeps, vacuums, mops floors 2. Cleans carpets 3. Cleans furniture 4. Cleans hard surfaces and windows 5. Waxes and buffs floors 6. Empties trash/garbage cans 7. Empties recycling bins 8. Cleans restrooms 9. Maintains inventory of materials and supplies needed to perform duties 10. Assists with snow removal 11. Sanitize areas as directed 12.
