Job Description
Position Summary:
Dependable individual for the Custodian position of 15 hours per week. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for individuals supported and staff. The Janitor will uphold our organization's commitment to excellence in service delivery and support.Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning tasks tailored to the unique needs of Appalachian Crossroads, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, paying special attention to high-touch surfaces and ensuring supplies are adequately stocked. Empty waste receptacles throughout the facility and ensure proper disposal of waste. Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, waiting rooms, and dining areas, to enhance the comfort and well-being of individuals supported. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests for replenishment as needed to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor or designated supervisor. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment for individuals supported, staff, and visitors. Collaborate with other staff members to address facility-related concerns and promote a culture of teamwork and excellence. Offsite contract cleaning Demonstrate a professional and respectful demeanor in all interactions with clients, staff, and community members High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is advantageous. Ability to work independently and efficiently while adhering to established guidelines and procedures. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with diverse individuals.
