Overview Join our dynamic team as a Custodian and be a vital part of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone. This energetic role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting. As a Custodian, you will take pride in creating a positive impression through your attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety. Handle janitorial tasks with precision, ensuring restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas are hygienic and well-stocked. Execute custodial responsibilities involving industrial cleaning techniques for specialized equipment or large-scale spaces. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues promptly. Assist with residential painting projects or minor touch-ups to enhance the appearance of the facility when required. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained for optimal use. Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including floor care procedures such as buffing and waxing. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is advantageous. Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial cleaning and the use of cleaning chemicals. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers or floor scrubbers confidently. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Prior porter experience or background in facilities upkeep will be considered a plus.
