General Cleaner

Position Summary Custodians are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of assigned facilities. This position performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. Schedule 1st Shift Monday - Friday (Hours may vary based on facility needs) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum floors. Extract carpets and perform floor care, including stripping and waxing floors. Collect and remove trash and recyclables. Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas. Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures. Clean interior and exterior glass, windows, and entryways. Maintain areas within 10 feet of building entrances. Assist with snow and ice removal as needed. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor or designated representative. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Reliable transportation. Ability to successfully pass a background check. Physical Requirements Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning motions. Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions when required. Work Environment This position may require working indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Employees must be able to meet productivity and service standards established by the company.
