Automotive Porter

The Porter is responsible for helping the Lot Manager maintain dealership inventory in an orderly, efficient manner. They also ensure that all vehicles are maintained, clean, presentable, and correctly displayed in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. This position often has overtime opportunities as well. Places vehicles in proper inventory position as directed Keeps equipment in good working order Installs sales price mirror signs when required Strips all new vehicles of plastics and stickers for front lot display Assists in physically delivering vehicles to final destination when required Reports all lot damage or malfunctioning of vehicles on display to supervisor Delivers damaged/malfunctioning vehicles to the Service Department Ensures vehicles within demo line are maintained in a presentable fashion; i.e., gas, cleanliness etc. Ensures walkways and entrances to showroom are free of debris, ice and snow at all times Ensures all landscape areas are free of debris, weeds, and trash at all times Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma/Equivalent Previous experience working in dealership preferred. Valid in-state Driver's License and clean driving record. Professional Appearance; excellent communication skills.
