Chesaning Schools Cleaning Team Member

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or

G.E.D 2. A

minimum of 2 years experience in cleaning school buildings - sweeping, stripping & waxing floors; cleaning & dusting furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, classrooms, gyms, cafeterias, pool & pool area, windows, doors, door handles, trim & related furnishings and outside entrances preferred. 3. Ability to work with staff, students and parents. 4. Ability and willingness to be on call for alarm calls before/after hours. 5. CPR/first aid/AED training required. 6. Must have a basic understanding of student discipline. 7. Certification from Lansing Sanitary Supply, Inc.: Hard floor care, Carpet care, Restroom care, KiaVac systems, and Basic equipment maintenance. 8. GHS Modified HAZCOM training required. 9. Willingness to learn new skills. 10. Effective communication skills - both verbal and written. 11. Good general physical health. 12. Ability to stand for 7.5 hours while working shift. Ability to constantly bend, kneel, squat, carry, and walk during shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 13. Must have manual dexterity to use equipment and to climb ladders, scaffolding and swing stage. 14. Must have a valid driver's license. 15. A physical will be required. 16. Regular and reliable attendance required. Past attendance records may be verified.

Job Duties:

1. Clean buildings, rest rooms and walls as direct by Building Principal and Director 2. Clean and set up for (but not limited to) sports events, conferences & board meetings. 3. Supervise and train workers in performing daily and summer cleaning of facilities and grounds. 4. Assist writing and following job schedules in order to complete work in a safe and timely manner. 5. Order, unload and stock supplies, 6. Secure building as needed. 7. All other duties as assigned by Building Principal, Director of Maintenance or the Superintendent of Schools.

Salary:

Wages and benefits in accordance with the Master Agreement.

Terms of Employment:

8 hours per day 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm. School year only position.

Pay:

$13.73 - $15.14 per hour
