Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Janitor/Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. This energetic position involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks across commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. Your efforts will ensure that our spaces are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting for everyone who enters. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to keep spaces tidy and hygienic Conduct detailed floor care such as buffing, polishing, and stripping to maintain a professional appearance Use specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively for industrial and commercial cleaning tasks Assist with custodial responsibilities in maintaining restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas Support facilities maintenance activities including light repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention Maintain cleanliness standards by following established procedures for cleaning high-touch surfaces and shared spaces Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and replenished as needed Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care (buffing, stripping), and use of cleaning equipment Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills to follow instructions accurately and report maintenance concerns promptly Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift Nice-to-have skills include experience with industrial cleaning, porter duties, or specialized custodial tasks Join us if you're passionate about creating clean environments that promote safety and comfort!
