Operations Team 46100 Grand River Avenue, Novi, MI 48374 Hybrid work $15 an hour - Part-time $15 an hour - Part-time Operations Team Help Wanted The Vibe Credit Union Showplace is a 600,000 square foot state-of-the-art exposition, conference and banquet center. We host a variety of events such as public expositions, trade shows, association and corporate conferences and many social events. Custodial & Operations Lead The Vibe Credit Union Showplace, formally the Suburban Collection Showplace is searching for a Custodial & Operations Lead. This position is responsible for all activities within the custodial program, ensuring operational goals are met, and demonstrating and implementing safe work practices and procedures. This position will serve as a lead within the custodial and operations team, ensuring and participating in the completion of all assigned tasks and projects. This position will also serve as the secondary client contact for events within the facility, primarily on the afternoon shift. The ideal candidate will be hard working and hands on with a professional attitude in order to interface with clients and help give direction and supervision to the custodial and operations teams while participating in the work themselves. Responsibilities Custodial
  • Clean assigned areas of the facility, as directed, in accordance with all applicable standards.
  • Perform janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning and stocking restrooms, sweeping /mopping / buffing / vacuuming floors, dusting, trash removal, spot cleaning, and window washing.
  • Operate custodial power equipment (i.e. floor buffers, wet vacuums, large area vacuums, & carpet extraction machines, etc.) safely & with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure that all equipment is cleaned, stored, and maintained appropriately, as directed.
  • Complete all job assignments and checklists each day with strong attention to quality of result. Managerial Actively assist and execute tasks as needed during and after shows/events Ensure the team is completing all assigned tasks and working responsibly according to the manager's direction. Event Support
  • Assist with operational needs & requests of event vendors and partners to ensure facility readiness and smooth operation of events for all stakeholders. This includes initial client contact upon move-in as well as being a primary contact for receiving requests and questions by phone, email, and radio made by clients and/or Facility leadership.
  • Set up and take down chairs, pipe and drape, barricades, staging, tables, and other equipment for the successful execution of events.
  • Operate equipment, such as pallet jacks, ride-on floor cleaners, carpet extractors, vacuums, forklifts, in support of deliveries and event operations.
  • Assist with various department and organization projects and special assignments as needed.
  • Event-based operational duties to support daytime public and private events (i.e.. responding to radio calls, maintaining restrooms, between-event cleaning, trash management).
  • Assisting other departments as required by event schedule/operations, including parking operations, concession operations, box office department and utility services. Maintenance
  • Perform light maintenance repairs using hand and power tools.
  • Assists with basic repairs, painting and general maintenance needs as required with the operations staff.
  • Document and report items in disrepair to Maintenance Leaders that need to be addressed. Qualifications
  • Must have experience in janitorial or facilities management
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (emails and reports)
  • Experience and/or certifications with equipment including forklifts and ride-on floor cleaners preferred

$18.00/hr Operations Team Member Operations team member is a hybrid role with janitorial, parking attendants and event set up.
Job description:
Custodian/Janitorial & Operations Colleagues perform custodial & housekeeping tasks, event set-ups and tear downs, and light maintenance tasks as assigned. Occasionally, Maintenance & Operations Colleagues will support event-based activities and private events.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working at the direction of Leadership team to effectively complete assigned projects and tasks in a timely manner; with a high regard to quality that is consistent with operating standards.
  • Perform daily general maintenance and detail-oriented janitorial tasks.
  • Meet with appropriate staff to outline tasks for the day/week.
  • Ensure the facility (and exterior) is adequately prepared prior to events based on specific event requirements Custodial

  • Event-based operational duties to support daytime public and private events (i.e.. responding to custodial based radio calls, maintaining restrooms, between-event cleaning, trash management).
  • Assist with transporting of equipment from offsite storage as necessary. Maintenance
  • Perform light maintenance repairs using hand and power tools.
  • Assists with basic repairs, painting and general maintenance needs as required with the operations staff.
  • Document and report items in disrepair to Fox Maintenance Leaders that need to be addressed.

Weekdays and weekends afternoons/evenings Parking Attendant Job description: As a Parking Attendant/Grounds Keeper, you will be essential in ensuring a smooth parking experience and maintaining the cleanliness of the grounds. This role requires strong customer service and communication skills, as you will interact with guests and assist them with parking needs. You will also handle cash transactions and operate a cash register, making attention to detail crucial. No prior experience is needed, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment. Join our team and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Duties to include but not limited to:
  • cash/credit card transactions, scanning presold passes, flagging traffic, etc.
  • Must be be able to deal with the outdoor elements. You are outside rain, shine or snow.
  • Must be available weekends.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must enjoy working with people.
  • Must enjoy the outdoors.
Must be able to keep up with a fast pace. No experience necessary. Will train. When not working as a parking attendant you would be helping to keep our grounds beautiful by grass cutting, weeding, planting flowers, etc. Schedule Majority weekends
