Dealership Building Maintenance Technician - Job Description Position Summary A Dealership Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the dealership's buildings, grounds, equipment, and overall facility appearance. This role helps ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for customers and employees. Key Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and repairs Maintain showroom, offices, service department, and customer areas Repair or troubleshoot minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues Replace light bulbs, filters, ceiling tiles, and fixtures Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment Maintain dealership grounds including: Lawn care Snow removal Salting sidewalks Trash removal Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely Coordinate with outside contractors when needed Maintain cleanliness of parking lots, entrances, and service drive Set up and move furniture, displays, or equipment for events Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA guidelines Keep maintenance records and supply inventory Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous maintenance, custodial, or facility experience preferred Basic knowledge of: Electrical systems Plumbing HVAC Carpentry Ability to use hand and power tools Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong problem-solving and time-management skills Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods Climbing ladders Lifting heavy objects Working in heat, cold, and noisy environments Work Environment Automotive dealership setting Indoor and outdoor work May require evenings, weekends, or emergency calls during weather events Sample Skills Preventive maintenance Attention to detail Reliability Communication Organization Safety awareness Example Job Titles Facilities Maintenance Technician Dealership Maintenance Worker Building & Grounds Technician Facility Maintenance Associate
