Custodian

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our team at AMI Industries. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facility. Your proactive approach to cleaning and custodial duties will ensure that our facility meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety, creating a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Position is full time, Monday - Friday 6a- 2p. May be required to work overtime.

Specific Duties:

Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums, and polishes floors. Removes trash and other refuse and deposits in appropriate containers. Dusts and/or polishes equipment, furniture and fixtures. Provides supplies and minor maintenance services. Maintains hygienic rest room and break room areas. Must carry out duties per IATF 16949 and

ISO 14001

requirements.

Experience:

Some electromechanical skills and physical coordination; good communication, and math skills of a level typically evidenced by an HS diploma.

Essential Functions:

Regular and predictable attendance. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums, and polishes floors. Remove trash, and other refuse and deposits in appropriate containers. Dusts and/or polishes equipment, furniture and fixtures. Maintains safe entryways (ie laying salt, shoveling snow, sweeping) Provides supplies and minor maintenance services. Maintains hygienic rest rooms and break room areas. Operates equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, power scrubber-vacuums, lawnmowers, forklifts, and trash compactors and/or shredders.

Critical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently carries up to 30 pounds. Maneuvers in, around, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment and machinery on a regular and continuous basis. Majority of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending. Works within an engine components manufacturing, office and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals. AMI Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
