Job Description

Come join the Nawa family! - START ASAP! Nawa Professional Services is seeking a dependable Custodian / Janitorial Team Lead to join our team in the Shelbyville / Wayland area! You'll oversee daily operations, coordinate staff, and help maintain a clean and inviting environment. Schedule Details Schedule:
Monday-Friday, primarily second shift but flexibility required for operational needs 4:00pm - 12:30am On-call availability required for emergencies
Pay Rate:
$20 Primary Responsibilities Guide, support, and coach custodial staff while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance Perform and oversee daily custodial and cleaning duties Coordinate product delivery and equipment drop-off Lead specialty and project-based cleaning initiatives Conduct routine custodial inspections and quality control checks Interview, train, coach, schedule, and lead custodial team members Manage inventory, supplies, and basic budget tracking Floor care services, including stripping, waxing, and refinishing Complete administrative tasks and required documentation Maintain professional relationships with site contacts Qualifications Strong attendance record and dependability Schedule flexibility is required, including the ability to cover different shifts based on operational needs. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach and motivate teams Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required Ability to pass a drug screen (including THC) and federal background check No past or pending criminal charges Must be 18 years or older with valid identification Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally 1-2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in custodial or facilities services 2+ years of custodial experience Proficiency with basic office technology (computer and tablet use) Floor care experience preferred Benefits of joining our team!
