SUBSTITUTE: Facilities Department - Temporary Summer Custodial/Grounds Help, up to 40 hours/week., June 11, 2026 - September 4, 2026

Assignment duration (approximately): June 11, 2026 - September 4, 2026 This is a temporary, summer-only position. Work may include but is not limited to: lawn cutting, weeding, mulching, or other outdoor work, general custodial or maintenance projects, sweeping, mopping, moving of classroom furniture, etc. Applicants must be willing to go to any site within the district and work indoors or outdoors as needed.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be able to report on a regular and consistent basis to the assigned facility or worksite. Maintain consistent and punctual attendance. Duties include frequent walking and physical activity. The ability to move about the facility or building, including bending, pushing/pulling, lifting, twisting, climbing, stooping, or crouching to complete work-related tasks. Must possess skills to safely operate a variety of tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, moving boxes, equipment, and other supplies for various needs. The ability to listen and effectively communicate information and ideas to a diverse population. The ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action(s). The ability to critically think and provide appropriate solutions. The ability to work independently and maintain effective time management. The ability to work effectively and efficiently in high stress or conflict situations.

Environmental Conditions:

Incumbents work in both indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to loud noise levels. Work may be completed in controlled temperature conditions; however, duties may be completed in cold and hot temperatures or inclement weather conditions. Duties may include exposure to chemicals and mechanical and electrical hazards.

Work Schedules:

Must be available for on-call work, overtime and/or emergency overtime before and/or after regular scheduled workday, when necessary.
