Job Description

Hiring part-time temporary cleaning personnel for Alexandria Technical & Community College Foundation. Summary We are hiring temporary part-time cleaning staff to assist with summer apartment turnover at our student housing facilities. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to meet high cleaning standards in a fast-paced environment.
Location:
Foundation Hall, 318 17th Ave E, Alexandria, MN 56308; and J.A. Wedum Foundation Hall, 1509 Jefferson St, Alexandria, MN 56308.
Schedule:
5-6 week temporary position, 15-20 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 30 hours.
Approximate dates:
July 6th ending by August 14th Work hours between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Some flexibility may be required
Key Responsibilities:
Deep clean student apartments between residents and perform touch-up cleaning as needed. Follow a detailed apartment cleaning checklist for every unit Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors Clean windows, blinds, vents, light fixtures, baseboards, doors, and walls as needed Sanitize kitchens and bathrooms thoroughly Clean appliances (refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave) per checklist standards Clean and reset furniture to proper layout Remove carpet stains Report maintenance concerns or damages to management Maintain consistent quality and efficiency Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous commercial or residential cleaning experience preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail Able to work independently with minimal supervision Dependable and punctual Able to manage time effectively during high-volume turnover Knowledge of cleaning products and safe chemical handling Basic mechanical skills are helpful Reliable transportation required
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Frequent walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
Additional Information:
No benefits are provided beyond those required by state and federal law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. This position reports to the Student Housing Manager. Rate of pay is $20.00-$22.00 per hour dependent on experience.
