Custodian - Part-Time Salary $20.78 Hourly Location City Hall Burnsville, MN Job Type Part-Time Job Number 2026-00430 Department Community Operations Division Opening Date 06/09/2026 Description Benefits Questions Position Details As a part-time Custodian, you will perform routine custodial and semi-skilled work to support the care and maintenance of City buildings. This role involves manual and semi-skilled tasks to help ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities for the community. You'll be part of the Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department, a team of dedicated professionals who provide access to city facilities, maintain parks and trails, and run recreation programs and events that enrich the lives of Burnsville residents. This is an evening position typically scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Hours may vary between 8 and 20 per week, depending on department needs. This is a non-exempt (hourly) position with a starting wage of $20.78 per hour. This position is open until filled. Learn more about the Custodian Part-Time position here . How you'll use your strengths every day The Custodian values people and perspectives by: Performing a variety of custodial tasks to care for City buildings. Assisting in keeping facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. They are on the leading edge when they: Perform semi-skilled work with a focus on floor care and carpet cleaning. Maintain and inventory custodial equipment and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Six months of custodial experience, including floor maintenance and carpet cleaning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Valid driver's license required, or ability to obtain a Minnesota driver's license Local government experience preferred
