Building Maintenance Custodian Job Description As a Building Maintenance Custodian, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility. You will perform daily cleaning tasks according to the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules and ensure all areas, including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and corridors, are kept in pristine condition. Your role will involve maintaining organized and well-stocked janitorial supplies, completing necessary paperwork, and assisting in pest control monitoring. Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning tasks per the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules. Work safely and efficiently in all areas of the plant, including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and corridors. Ensure work area and janitorial supplies are properly organized and maintained. Complete necessary paperwork to meet documentation requirements. Assist in executing and monitoring the pest control program. Complete non-routine cleaning/sanitation tasks as assigned. Clean vents, ceiling tiles, vacuum, wash doors, and sanitize. Operate the floor scrubber for the shop. Essential Skills Experience in janitorial and cleaning tasks. Knowledge of preventive maintenance. Basic plumbing skills. Housekeeping proficiency. Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 6 months of prior cleaning experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a metal fabrication and processing plant. Steel-toed footwear is required, and the dress code is casual, allowing jeans and t-shirts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison Lake, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
