DUTIES / RESPONSBILITIES
Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience:
Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the state of Minnesota OR Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job proficiently may be substituted for the above requirements.
Nature of Work:
Under direct supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, the Custodian (Part-Time) provides light maintenance, cleaning and other custodial services. The Custodian will keep assigned buildings and properties in a clean and orderly condition, and perform minor maintenance work to these buildings as required. This position is a year-round position.

Primary Essential Work Functions:
Vacuums carpets and rugs. Wash and dry cleaning clothes, rags and mop heads. Sweeps, mops, buffs, and scrubs floors. Dusts, waxes, washes, and polishes furniture and woodwork. Safely empties and cleans waste receptacles when necessary and monitors the compactor. Cleans bathrooms daily and when necessary. Safely washes windows and walls. Polishes metal work. Tends surrounding walks and grounds when necessary. Performs minor repairs. Waters and maintains plants. Safely moves furniture and loads or unloads freight. Safely moves tables and chairs as needed and sets up for meetings as required. Cleans storage areas. Performs physical/mental demands of the work environment requirements for this position. Attendance during regularly scheduled work hours. Effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers. Employee required to use personal vehicle to drive to other sites as needed. Provides oversight to contract custodial personnel.

Performs physical and mental demands and work environment requirements for this position. Attendance during regularly scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary. Effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and community customers. N/A Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the state of Minnesota. Must successfully complete a background check. Must comply with organizational and departmental policies. Must comply with data practices policies and standards relative to not public data. Any access to not public data should be strictly limited to accessing the data that are necessary to fulfill the employment responsibility. While data are being accessed, incumbent should take reasonable measures to ensure the not public data are not accessed by individuals without a work reason. Once the work reason to access the data is reasonably finished the not public data must be properly stored according to city policy and the Minnesota Statutes. Team members are employed by an approved third-party staffing agency. General working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Morning and afternoon/evening shifts are available.
