Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Rate of Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing custodial, basic maintenance, ice care, and related grounds support duties to help maintain a clean, safe, and operational ice arena facility for staff, students, and community users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate Zamboni to prepare and maintain ice surfaces Perform custodial cleaning of restrooms, lobby areas, bleachers, and other assigned spaces Respond promptly to spills and other immediate cleaning or safety concerns Assist with general facility upkeep and minor maintenance duties Maintain exterior areas, including trash removal, debris cleanup, and snow shoveling as needed Assist the summer Grounds crew as needed Follow established safety procedures and department work standards Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to safely operate a Zamboni; training may be provided Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently with limited supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in ice arena operations, custodial work, groundskeeping, or general building maintenance Experience operating maintenance or grounds equipment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time.
