Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custodian & Event Setup professional to maintain cleanliness and orderliness across our facilities while preparing spaces for a variety of events. This dynamic role combines custodial responsibilities with event setup duties, ensuring that our environment is pristine, welcoming, and fully prepared for any occasion. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and possess a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and facility presentation. Duties Perform thorough cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility. Conduct janitorial and custodial duties such as restroom sanitation. Prepare event spaces by setting up tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, signage, and other necessary materials according to event specifications. Break down and restore spaces after events, including cleaning and resetting areas for future use. Assist with industrial cleaning projects or specialized cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or high dusting. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Previous experience setting up for events or functions—such as arranging furniture or installing equipment—is desirable. Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods or commercial cleaning standards will support success in this role. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Hours Friday's 2pm-10pm, Some Saturdays 1pm-8pm and on-call or flexible for other evenings.
