Multiple Locations/Multiple Schedules (Catholic Charities) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both industrial and commercial settings. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct thorough industrial cleaning of equipment and machinery as needed. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions. Assist with floor care activities including buffing, waxing, and stripping floors to enhance their appearance. Carry out custodial duties such as trash removal, window washing, and surface sanitization. Support facilities maintenance tasks by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing cleaning duties to promote a safe working environment. Skills Experience in industrial cleaning practices is highly desirable. Proficient in commercial cleaning techniques and custodial responsibilities. Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing and waxing is a plus. Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while completing tasks. Capable of working independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
