Custodian Custodial and Support Services Description Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for our Custodian positions in the Custodial and Support Services Department.

Full-time (1.0 FTE), Non-exempt (Hourly),

Benefits-Eligible Shift:

Monday - Friday, 5am-1pm

Wage Range:

$15.00-$16.50 MAIN

RESPONSIBILITIES

Properly cleans and maintains multiple areas on campus, as assigned Shampooing carpets, waxing floors, polishing glass, emptying trash, recycling, compost Maintaining floors, cleaning wood, linoleum, tile, and other flooring types Report's maintenance concerns via work order request to appropriate personnel Collaborates with other CSS staff, leads, and supervisors to complete daily tasks Prerequisites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours per day Previous experience in cleaning and/or custodial services Must be a self-starter and able to produce work with minimum supervision Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships Strong communication skills and positive demeanor Gustavus offers competitive and comprehensive benefits which include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance Short-Term Disability Parental Leave Gustavus contribution to retirement savings plan after one year of employment
