Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Part-time Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our premises. Your energetic approach to cleaning and maintenance will ensure that our facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety, creating a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards Carry out floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine flooring surfaces Assist with light custodial maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs to ensure facilities are fully operational Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs needed or hazards identified during cleaning rounds Use commercial cleaning equipment efficiently and safely while adhering to health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness logs and report any issues or damages promptly to supervisors Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers and floor scrubbers safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and reliability are essential for success in this role Join us in creating a safe, clean, and inviting environment!
