Night Porter/Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in two state-owned facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, focusing on commercial, industrial, and clinical settings. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Assist with custodial duties including waste disposal and recycling management. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use. Follow safety protocols while cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met throughout the facility. Qualifications Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. We are willing to train. Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks. A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
