We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor care, facilities maintenance, porter duties, custodial work, buffing, and general cleaning tasks.

Duties:

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as restroom cleaning, office maintenance, cafeteria upkeep, and sales floor sanitation.
• Utilize floor machines for buffing, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning following safety protocols.
• Empty wastebaskets, dust furniture, vacuum carpets, sanitize restrooms, and clean surfaces.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, company policies, and management directives.
• Work on assigned tasks according to schedules and customer requests.
• Follow oral and written instructions effectively.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Attend training sessions and safety meetings as required.

Skills:

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of custodial duties and janitorial responsibilities.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including vacuums, sweepers, mops, scrubbers, and floor finishes.
• Proficiency in various cleaning techniques and processes.
• Experience in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety practices.
• Ability to follow directions accurately and work within established guidelines.

Preferred Skills:

• Organizational skills to maintain janitorial closets in an orderly manner.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions daily.
• Capability to operate small power tools effectively.
• Willingness to work in various environments including climbing stairs or ladders.

Pay:

$15.00 per hour
