Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable. Handle custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring all areas are sanitized and organized. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and readily available for use. Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries. Respond promptly to requests for cleaning or maintenance from staff or management. Skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning preferred but not required. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Familiarity with custodial practices and facilities maintenance is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
