Marionville, MO Job Overview We are hiring a full-time Cleaner / Custodian to support the production of modular buildings and shipping container conversions in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility by performing routine custodial duties throughout the production floor, offices, restrooms, break areas, and outdoor grounds. This role plays an important part in supporting all departments by helping maintain a clean workplace that promotes safety, efficiency, and quality throughout the manufacturing process. This is an hourly, non-exempt production support position working both indoors and outdoors in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility .
Schedule Monday-Thursday:
6:00 AM - 4:30
PM Fridays:
Overtime as needed based on production demands Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work practices. Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing facility, offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean production floors, walkways, and designated work areas. Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and replace liners as needed. Clean and sanitize restrooms, refill paper products, soap dispensers, and other janitorial supplies. Dust, wipe down, and disinfect work surfaces, furniture, doors, windows, and fixtures. Clean around production equipment while following all safety procedures and avoiding disruption to manufacturing operations. Remove dirt, dust, debris, metal shavings, and other materials from production areas to maintain a safe work environment. Keep entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and outdoor workspaces clean and free of trash and debris. Assist with general outdoor facility upkeep, including sweeping, weed control, and seasonal cleanup as needed. Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages to management. Assist with special cleaning projects and other facility support duties as assigned. Demonstrate initiative by recognizing cleaning needs and completing tasks without constant supervision. Requirements Previous custodial, janitorial, industrial cleaning, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Strong commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment . Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift. Ability to stand, bend, reach, climb, and walk for extended periods. Reliable attendance and punctuality required. Positive attitude and ability to work well with others. Team player mindset with a willingness to support production needs. Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or commercial cleaning. Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
