Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our animals and clients. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for thorough cleaning and sanitation of kennels, animal care areas, and equipment, ensuring a hygienic space that promotes the health and well-being of all animals. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a comfortable environment where pets can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while supporting our mission to provide exceptional pet care services. Duties Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, cages, and animal housing areas to maintain high hygiene standards Assist with animal handling, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and behavior Support veterinary staff with basic animal restraint during examinations or treatments when needed Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with safety protocols Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including grooming stations and outdoor exercise yards Assist with pet grooming, pet sitting, and basic pet care tasks to support overall animal well-being Use team lifting techniques when moving heavy equipment or supplies to prevent injury and ensure safety Qualifications Previous experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, kennels, or pet grooming environments is highly preferred Knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care practices Experience in veterinary assisting or as a veterinary technician adds valuable expertise Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning or equipment setup up to 40 lbs Outdoor work experience is beneficial for maintaining outdoor kennels or exercise areas Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Familiarity with pet grooming, dog training, or pet sitting is a plus but not required Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Join us in creating a safe haven for pets while advancing your skills in animal care!
