Job Description

The Custodian will be responsible for assuring that all custodial duties are completed and also scheduling custodial duties. Duties may include preforming routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs and requisitioning supplies when needed.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS
Two years of experience in this field in an office environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (moving items over 50 pounds requires a team lift). Must be familiar with cleaning chemicals and procedures. Should have good communication skills, the ability to work with minimum direction, and keep records. Organizational and detail-oriented abilities a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms and restock supplies. Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers. Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc. and clean up afterwards. Clean, organize, and restock break rooms and kitchens including dishes. Safely use and maintain assigned equipment and hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed. Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis. Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds. Launder cleaning rags and dust mops. Perform all duties on schedule and keep adequate records. Attend safety meetings and other related meetings. Support and enforce all DHA health and safety regulations and guidelines, etc. Other duties as assigned.
