Seasonal Position Summary Red Lodge Mountain is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Summer Grounds & Facilities Team Member to help care for the spaces our guests and employees use every day. This seasonal role supports the upkeep, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the Red Lodge Mountain Golf Course clubhouse, Red Lodge Mountain facilities, Grizzly Peak Outdoors, and other public spaces. From keeping facilities clean and stocked to helping with grounds maintenance, basic repairs, and outdoor projects, this position plays an important part in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits or works with us. What You'll Be Doing As part of the Facilities team, you will help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces across multiple RLM locations.
Responsibilities may include:
Cleaning and maintaining public facilities, including the RLM Golf Course clubhouse, Grizzly Peak Outdoors, mountain facilities, restrooms, and shared spaces. Keeping restrooms clean, stocked, and guest-ready throughout the day. Emptying and transporting garbage and recycling. Supporting grounds upkeep, including debris removal, basic landscaping, runoff mitigation, and general outdoor maintenance. Assisting with snow removal, weather-related cleanup, and seasonal grounds needs when necessary. Helping address basic facility maintenance needs, including general building, plumbing, electrical, heating, water, sewer, or infrastructure-related issues. Supporting other departments with cleaning, maintenance, and facility-related requests. Communicating clearly and respectfully with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and guests. Using phones, two-way radios, and in-person communication to stay connected with the team. Traveling between locations as needed by golf cart, UTV, snowmobile, chair lift, snow grooming machine, or other company-approved transportation. Providing friendly customer service and helping guests when appropriate. Contributing to a fun, safe, and respectful work environment. Performing other duties as assigned. You do not mind getting your hands dirty, working in changing weather, or moving between tasks throughout the day. You are dependable, self-motivated, and willing to be part of a team that supports one another and keeps the operation moving. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers. General janitorial, cleaning, or facilities-related skills. Basic landscaping or groundskeeping ability. Ability to work independently and stay productive. Self-motivated, reliable, and efficient. Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed. Reliable transportation. Ability to work safely in varying terrain and weather conditions. Ability to move snow, dirt, rock, debris, garbage, supplies, and other materials as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout most of the workday. Preferred Experience The following experience is helpful, but not required: Previous janitorial, groundskeeping, facilities, maintenance, or construction experience. Experience working with the public or providing customer service. Knowledge of the ski, golf, resort, or outdoor recreation industry. Experience using equipment such as a side-by-side, four-wheeler, snowmobile, truck plow, snowblower, or similar tools and vehicles. General maintenance or repair skills. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. While performing this role, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and use hands to handle tools, equipment, cleaning supplies, and other materials.
This position may require:
Walking or standing for 90% or more of a normal 8-hour shift. Lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving 50 pounds or more. Walking on uneven terrain, grass, gravel, snow, ice, and wet surfaces. Shoveling snow or moving dirt, rock, debris, and other materials. Bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, and carrying supplies. Sitting for periods of time while operating equipment or traveling between facilities. Equipment Used This role may include the use of: Shovels and snowblowers Rakes, brooms, blowers, and trimmers Cleaning supplies and equipment Vacuums Ladders Telephones Two-way radios Golf carts, UTVs, snowmobiles, or other company-approved equipment Working Conditions This position includes both indoor and outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions. Employees may work in cold, hot, windy, wet, snowy, or muddy environments and may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts or equipment.
