Job Description
Experienced Cleaner
- Part-Time A long-established Asheville college is seeking a dependable, experienced, and detail-oriented cleaner to help maintain our campus facilities.
Position Details Starting pay:
$18.00/hour during the 90-day probationary period Performance review after 90 days with consideration for a pay increase 15-18 hours per week through mid-August 25 hours per week beginning in mid-August In-person position Schedule The majority of work will be completed during late afternoon and evening hours, with one weekend shift (day or evening). The exact schedule offers some flexibility, provided all assigned duties are completed thoroughly and work is performed with minimal disruption to campus operations. Applicants should be comfortable working independently and organizing their workload to ensure all routine and deep cleaning tasks are completed on schedule. Responsibilities Clean and maintain multiple campus buildings of varying sizes. Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other campus spaces. Ensure all areas are clean, sanitary, organized, and welcoming for students, faculty, staff, and guests. Work independently to identify cleaning priorities, develop a plan for routine and deep cleaning tasks, and carry those plans through to completion with minimal supervision. Recognize areas requiring periodic deep cleaning and proactively schedule and complete those projects. Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Follow established cleaning and safety procedures. Qualifications Previous professional cleaning experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Reliable transportation required. Must be able to climb stairs, carry cleaning equipment and supplies, and safely lift up to 25 pounds. All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided.
