It is the responsibility of all French Broad Chocolates employees to work in the best interest of the team, community and environment, and in support of FBC's Mission and Public Benefit Job Purpose This part-time Janitorial Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across our manufacturing facility on Riverside Drive and our distribution center in Weaverville. The role will consist of approximately 24-29 hours per week and includes cleaning offices, common areas, production spaces, and public-facing areas. Responsibilities Execute scheduled cleaning activities on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards across the Factory and Distribution Center . Perform deep cleaning and detailing of common areas and production spaces beyond routine daily cleaning tasks. Clean and maintain facility fixtures and infrastructure, which may occasionally require the use of ladders or specialized equipment . Maintain and properly store cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies. Ensure cleanliness of breakrooms, restrooms, and common areas including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning. Clean and maintain production equipment according to established sanitation schedules and compliance requirements. Monitor janitorial supply levels and restock or request replacements as needed. Support additional cleaning tasks, special projects, or duties as assigned by management. Qualifications 1+ year of sanitation/janitorial experience and/or maintenance experience preferred. Ability to work independently, with effective time management skills Must be dependable and punctual Must be detail oriented Must have a vehicle Alignment with FBC mission, vision, and values Working Conditions Flexible schedule required, shift times may vary and weekends and overtime may be required Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions (chlorine, detergents) and adherence to safety protocols with these chemicals Primarily indoor work, but with varying climatic conditions Noise & dust which may require protective gear GMP Facility requiring adherence to Food Safety protocols and procedures Physical requirements Standing for extended periods Frequent bending, walking, stooping, reaching and crouching, climbing up/down stairs and ladders Perform repetitive tasks Solo lift 50 lb. regularly
