Job Description

Lead Tech:
Window Cleaning, Gutter Cleaning, Pressure Washing Our company has been cleaning windows around Lake Norman and Charlotte for almost 30 years. The business is under new ownership now, and we're building the crew that takes it forward. We're looking for an experienced window cleaner to be one of our lead techs. One thing to know up front: this is not an entry-level job. We need someone who can hit the ground running. That means you either bring real window cleaning experience or you're the kind of person who picks up a new technique in days, not months. You'll be working inside and outside at new properties everyday, not stuck at a desk or in a warehouse. Every house is a little different. You finish a job, look back at the glass, and you can see exactly what you did. Anyone who's done this work and stuck with it knows that feeling. As lead tech, you're the responsible one on site. You make the calls and you make sure the customer is happy before you leave. Some days you run solo, some days you have a helper working under you. You always have support from a dedicated Production Manager who helps with decision making and customer situations. How we work We clean with a water-fed pole and traditional mop-and-squeegee technique. You should be solid with both of these already, or be able to pick it up within a week. We'll show you how we do things, but we expect you to be carrying jobs on your own quickly, not shadowing someone for months. Lead techs here also get cross-trained in our other business units: Paver Savers (paver cleaning and sealing), Soap and the City (pressure washing), and Merry and Bright (holiday lighting). That's why the work stays steady year-round. When window season slows down, the work shifts. It doesn't stop. How pay works Training starts at $20/hr. Training is as short as you make it. The faster you're running jobs on your own, the faster you move to production pay. On production pay, you earn based on the jobs you complete, so fast, clean work shows up in your paycheck. Experienced leads typically land between $25 and $35 an hour, and there's no cap. Slow week or unexpected circumstances? You have a pay floor. Paid weekly, every Friday. Your day Start at our lot in Cornelius. That's home base, and you'll report here most mornings. Run window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing jobs start to finish: interior and exterior windows, residential and commercial Some days you'll be on paver sealing or pressure washing jobs instead. The work changes with the season. Must be comfortable moving and working from ladders Walk the finished job with the customer. Lead a helper on most jobs Schedule Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Some Saturday availability may be required during busy stretches, and large projects sometimes mean travel. What we're looking for You know how to clean windows. Real squeegee work, no streaks. At least 1 year of window cleaning experience is strongly preferred. 2+ years in exterior cleaning preferred (window cleaning, pressure washing, gutters, soft washing, or similar) A fast learner. New tool, new technique, new service line: you watch it once, do it twice, then own it. Comfortable on ladders and working at heights Valid driver's license with a clean driving record You show up on time and take pride in the finished job Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors year-round Why people like working here Your skill actually matters. The best techs earn the most. We don't pay the guy coasting the same as the guy who's dialed in. Year-round work across four service lines. No winter layoff scramble. Small crew, no corporate layers. If something's not working, you talk to the person who can fix it that day. Nearly 30 years of repeat customers. The work is already there. You just have to do it well. Before you apply, read this part We'll be straight with you and we expect the same back: If you book an interview, show up to it. If something comes up, call or text and we'll reschedule, no problem. But if you no-show with no notice, you've already told us how you'd treat our customers. Save us both the time. Production pay means you earn more for the hours you work. It does not mean cutting days short because you've "made enough" this week. We work normal full weeks. The pay model rewards the work, it doesn't replace it. We need an accountable grownup. You do what you said you'd do. When something goes sideways, you say so and fix it instead of hoping nobody notices.
The trade is simple:
we work hard, you get paid more. If that sounds fair, we'd like to meet you.
Pay:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Benefits:
On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid training Application Question(s): Do you have a valid driver's license? Are you comfortable working on ladders? Describe your window cleaning experience, or tell us about a hands-on skill you learned quickly

In person
