7:00AM-10:00AM & 1:00PM-4:00PM The A Plus Group, LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team in Durham County at the Stanford L. Warren Library and Durham County Animal Control Center. If you take pride in your work and value consistency, reliability, and flexibility, we'd love to have you on our team! Responsibilities Clean and restock restrooms (supplies, trash removal, wiping and disinfecting surfaces, sweeping/mopping). Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the library. Wipe and disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, counters, light switches, tables). Spot clean glass doors, windows, mirrors, and partitions. Sweep, dust, and spot mop floors in public and staff areas. Maintain order in meeting rooms and study areas (straighten chairs/tables, empty trash). Keep breakroom and staff areas clean and stocked with supplies. Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies (spills, tracked-in dirt, etc.). Notify supervisor of supply needs or maintenance issues. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing methods. Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in diverse environments. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality results. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Physical stamina and strength to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving items.
