Full Job Description Job Overview Job Summary:

Under the supervision this person will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs of building to keep facility in good working order. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: keeping lights operational, changing HVAC filters on regular schedule, monitoring vendor maintenance schedule of various operational equipment, ensuring clean and neat appearance of facility and ground, emptying trash, hauling of pallets, scrap metal and other refuse items outside of traditional trash service, maintaining appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies, assisting in minor building repairs, managing various alarm (fire, sprinkler) testing requirements with various local agencies and ensuring safety compliance; managing all fire extinguisher dates and levels; manage emergency equipment

Abilities Required:

Person must be physically capable of performing maintenance duties including lifting, stooping, and bending as needed to perform various tasks. Person must "can do" attitude and be easily adaptable to various situations that may arise and require maintenance or custodial assistance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to maintain high standards of cleanliness Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly. Support general facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs, painting (residential or commercial), and equipment upkeep. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of chemicals in accordance with safety regulations. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning products, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning equipment. Experience working as a porter or in a custodial role within busy settings is advantageous. Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
