- Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and energetic Day Porter to join our team on a part-time basis, working from 2pm to 6pm.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility. Your dedication will ensure a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial and custodial experience who enjoy working in a dynamic setting and take pride in their work. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and maintaining various flooring surfaces to ensure a polished appearance. Monitor common areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly. Assist with light custodial duties in both commercial and residential spaces as needed. Support facilities maintenance by performing minor repairs or coordinating with specialized technicians for larger issues. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained. Provide excellent customer service by greeting visitors and responding to their needs professionally. Requirements Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential environments. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing. Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols consistently. Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled hours.
